Tributary of Tajo river , 177 km long, which has been very important in the life of El Barraco .
High Alberche is the main factor in the topography of this area , creating a steep valley in origin ( San Martín de la Vega del Alberche ) and that is opening
gradually to reach the idyllic setting of the reservoir Burguillo and Iruelas Valley Nature Reserve (located mainly in the municipality of El Barraco) .
Burguillo reservoir is the first of its reservoirs from its fountain, with more than a century old.
In summer months , we find river beaches along the entire shore , the most frequented are the northern shore, next to the Gaznata's Bridge and the south shore near Las Cruceras.
Fishing is a common activity in this environment.
